Halloween

We celebrated our first Halloween in our new house and our new neighborhood and it was so much fun!  In the past years we have traveled to friends' houses because our neighborhood wasn't great for trick or treating - the houses were too far apart.   This year we had friends come to us!  We have sidewalks and the houses are close together.

Monkey was a super hero and Lil Bit was Minnie Mouse.  They both had a blast trick or treating with their friends and it was fun because this is the first year all the kids were about the same ages and they were also all little girls except for one baby boy!  At this age you don't have to hit too many houses for it to be fun, then we came back and sat on the front porch with the girls and had a few more trick or treaters.

We left our bowl of candy out while we took the girls in to put them to bed and when we came back out, the bowl and the candy were gone!  Thankfully someone had warned me that it happened to them last year (in another neighborhood) so I got a cheap bowl to put the candy in.  Oh well, it was the end of the night and the joke is on them because all that was left in the bowl was our neighbor's son's year old Halloween candy!  All the good candy had been given out already!

These are a little blurry because the sun was setting, but this is still a great family picture.  Monkey told me that I wasn't fancy enough when we were grocery shopping earlier so I found these light up tentacles on clearance and thought it would be fun to wear them!

This picture doesn't do it justice, but the sunset was GORGEOUS that night.  It started out orange and went into pink.

It was an awesome night of fun with some good friends!!
