Pumpkin is 4 Months

Whoops!!  I almost forgot to write a 4 month blog!  But I'm getting it in almost halfway there.

We had a great 4 month check up.  I was a little scared to take her in because of all the flu, but we made it and we stayed healthy!  Pumpkin is 13lbs 13 oz and 24.75 inches long.  Much smaller than either sister who were both about the same size at 4 months.  They were both 15 lbs and 15 lbs 6 oz and 25.5 inches long.  She is continuing to live up to the meaning of her name - tiny and feminine!

She loves to smile.  I think she smiles more than the other 2 did at this age and she has started to laugh.  It has slowed down the last couple of weeks, but there were a couple of days in a row that she would laugh.  She laughed at her sisters only.  And most of the time she laughed at them running back and forth in front of her.  It was a beautiful sound to hear!
She is still the hardest baby to feed and she still barely eats anything.  Even though she is smaller than her sisters, her growth is consistent and our doc isn't worried about her.  She looks healthy to us!  We did put her on Zantac this month though because our doc said she shouldn't be that hard to feed.  She fights us on her feedings unless she is sleepy and sometimes only takes 2 oz in one feeding when most babies her age are taking 6-8.  Oh well, we are learning to roll with it, we will just be glad when we are done with bottles.
She talks ALL the time.  She talks more than the other 2 girls.  And she tests her voice all the time.  She squeals and screams and tries different sounds. She is learning to mimic us and she loves to talk to herself while she is playing.  She loves her play mat and her mobile.  She is happiest playing on her back or standing in your lap.  She loves to stand and talk to you.
She takes all toys to her mouth and is really chewing on them hard.  Could mean a tooth but if she is like the other 2, it will mean a 2 more months or so before we get a tooth.  She has a crinkly caterpillar and a hedgehog ball that her two favorites right now.
Buddy, she hit that 4 month sleep regression in style.  She is refusing naps most days if they are in her bed.  And we are trying really hard to get her to sleep in her bed.  Some days she cries off and on with us going in several times to put in a paci for upwards of 45 minutes before we break down and get her.  She sleeps on me every day from 2-4 right now.  That is her guaranteed good nap.  I have figured out how to crochet while she sleeps, so that is just our joint rest time.

She is still sleeping pretty great at night.  She goes down on her own at 7 and sleeps until 4:00 or 4:30.  That is new.  But she is hungry at that time.  We feed her and she goes back down in her bed until 7.  She just won't sleep during the day!
We aren't really starting food - we are planning to do real food like we did with Lil Bit.  But our doc wanted us to start some foods at least once a week.  So we have tried a banana and avacado and she is not really sure what to think about it.  I'm not rushing, but I'm doing the minimum of what the doc asked us to do! Ha!
She is still such a joy, even through the harder parts of her personality.  She is teaching me to slow down and be patient.  She will probably end up spoiled rotten, but I figure 3rd babies are spoiled because no one has time to figure things out with them.  They just pick them up and go.  Ha!

The three of them are starting to settle in and enjoy each other, especially since they are the only ones to make her laugh so far!  We are so thankful for our 3 healthy blessings.  What a gift they are!
