So Nate and I are considering getting an invisible fence for Lucie - she enjoys being outside and our lives are just plain better when she gets time to play outside. We have done a little bit of research and found three different companies to give us quotes, but we have also done research on installing one ourselves. You can save quite a bit of money all the way around if you do it yourselves. Any thoughts? Anyone out there that is reading installed one themselves? Any suggestions?
For now - if we are home during the day she gets to enjoy a 20 foot radius of the back yard! It's at least something, but I can't wait to just let her roam and play in the yard and see what she does. :)
We are so glad that we decided to get her. It's been a rough month with the training, but she really is a precious dog. It doesn't hurt that she is already house trained. That makes everything easier. Now we just have to work diligently on the biting - which is getting better! We found out from our neighbor that her border collie was a puppy for 2 good years, so we have a long road ahead of us, but it will be rewarding. She requires at minimum one long walk a day - she does better with two or three when we are home during the day. So it's been good for Nate and I - we have both lost weight and feel more healthy from all the walking!
She's been enjoying being outside today. I decided to take a few pictures of her to show how much she has grown. Such a cute pup!
My favorite picture by far! :) She was hearing the camera click and trying to figure out what it was.
