Happy Easter!

The Easter weekend was very special for us this year.  Nate and I were able to take time to reflect on the sacrifice our Savior made and the reality of it all.  On Friday, we took Lu Lu to the park to enjoy the beautiful day.  We took time to reflect on what Good Friday really represented.  The fact that our Savior was beaten, bruised, mocked, shamed, and crucified for our sins.  He bore our sins so we could live in freedom through Him.  It was also a little bit of a hard day for us.  Though not the same date in April, Good Friday was the first and last day that we got to see our precious little baby in my womb.  To think about the joy and sorrow that followed the next two weeks was hard, but it was also easier to get through than I thought it would be.  This past weekend symbolized death and new life through Christ.  There is hope in Christ and we must never lose sight of that.  As long as we have Christ and He is guiding our lives we have the hope that there is a purpose and reason for everything.  Therefore, we look forward with hope, believing that Christ will one day answer our prayers!

Saturday was another beautiful day.  We were able to get outside again and just enjoy the new life is springing up everywhere.  Yet another reminder - God is constantly creating - new life is everywhere around us.

Sunday we were able to worship at our church and praise the risen Savior.  Praise the Lord that He is ALIVE - through His resurrected life, I can have life eternal.  PRAISE THE LORD, O MY SOUL!

We celebrated Easter with my side of the family this year.  We went to my mom and dad's house for lunch and an Easter egg hunt.  This is the first year in awhile that I remember it being truly warm enough to be outside and enjoy the day.  Mom and Dad bought SE & SR a bike and a motorized vehicle for them to keep at their house, so we all parked ourselves on the driveway and enjoyed the afternoon.  It was nice to be able to just sit outside and enjoy each other.
