Asheville

Well, we usually only get to see Anna and Jeff once a year, but we decided this year that it was not enough.  Our girls enjoy playing together too much and we enjoy our times spent together too much to just keep it to once a year.

We headed up there 2 weekends before Thanksgiving.  I'm just now getting around to posting about it!

We headed up on a Friday and stayed through Monday.  The fires in Asheville had begun that week, so we dealt with some smoke while we were there, but we still had a lot of fun.  A couple of days we didn't spend to much time outside, but the girls didn't mind.  They just wanted to play with each other.

We got to eat at my favorite place - White Duck Taco Shop for our first meal!  Someone really needs to franchise one of those down here!  We ate some really good BBQ, really good pie and just sat around and enjoyed our time together talking.

It was a lovely weekend and we can't wait for their next visit here!

We got YUMMY donuts the first morning we were there.  The girls LOVED them!

We headed over to the Arboreteum to see the LARGE insects and explore a little bit outside.

Mr. Jeff raked a big pile of leaves around the bottom of the slide and the girls had fun sliding and jumping in them!!

Then he took the for a ride on the tractor!  They had so much fun doing this.

Our last morning we headed over to the Biltmore to visit the animals in the petting zoo and take a walk on the trail before we left.  Everyone was tired so it was a short walk!! :)

God knew that the girl He placed to live next to me my freshman year in college would become one of my most dear friends.  I love that we make it a priority to get together and I love that our children enjoy playing with each other.  What a blessing!
