4th of July with Friends

We celebrated the 4th twice this year.  Our city fireworks were on Saturday night and then we celebrated the 4th on Tuesday.  It was so much fun.  On Saturday, we had friends over to eat dinner.  We were planning to eat outside and then walk to the fireworks at the school, but it rained really hard during dinner time.  Thankfully the rain cleared out and we were still able to have the fireworks that night.  Such a fun night with sweet friends.

Made a baked smores dish with the girls that was SOOOO yummy and so very easy!!

All the girls showed up with double french braids without anyone else knowing.  So cute!!

On the 4th, we started our celebration that morning with our annual neighborhood parade led by the fire engine.  Then later we headed over to our neighbors house for dinner and all gathered in the cul de sac for an impressive fireworks display put on by all of us.  That night, the girls also actually touched a real snake.  They had gone up on our neighbors porch while the fireworks were going off and saw something wrapped around the banister.  Monkey touched it, thinking it was fake and came down screaming that it was real!  We were all shocked and thankfully our neighbor isn't scared and rehomed him to the woods in their back yard.
