Our Newest Addition!

Welcome Lucie Ann to the family!  She is a precious border collier/terrier mix that we adopted yesterday from Love At First Site Adoption center.  We had been watching their website for awhile and saw her come up at the beginning of the week and decided that we would like to bring her home with us!

 

She was very docile and calm when we were in the center picking her out, but once we got across the street to have the vet check her out - she said "Max, let the wild rumpus begin!"  She is a very energetic pup and keeps up on our toes already.  She got a little car sick on the way and threw up on my nice wool coat twice, but its nothing a little dry cleaning can't handle!  I was able to find the humor in it because I have had a cold the past few days and can't small a thing - Nate on the other was about the throw up himself because he said it smelled really bad!  Oh well - she's just a tiny baby. :)

She was born on New Year's Day - easy day to remember, so she is 8 weeks.  A little early to seperate her from her siblings, but she is doing ok.  Trying to learn to like her crate and doing good picking up housetraining.

We had a little bit of hard time picking out a name, and ultimately it came down between Lola and Lucie - she just looks like a Lucie to us.  Plus we had picked out Lucie (with this spelling) because we loved our honeymoon in St. Lucia so much - therefore, her name has a special meaning to us!

We will keep you updated on this precious addition!  If you have any dog training tips - pass them our way - this is our first puppy so they would be greatly appreciated!  I think we are going to go to school when she gets a little older to mommy and daddy can learn how to teacher her to have good manners!
