Again, I want to apologize for being away so much this year so far. We have had such a crazy start to 2013 that the blog has taken a back seat. On top of our crazy year, we also officially have a toddler. It has to be one of the most fun and most frustrating times of their lives. We are LOVING it - it seems like she learns something new everyday and starts saying new words all the time. But with the limited vocabulary - she also whines A LOT and cries for no reason because she can't communicate with us. Add in teething, which takes her FOREVER and ear infections and it has been BUSY!
A couple of weeks ago, BA hosted their Alumni Easter Egg Hunt. Monkey wasn't old enough to go last year, but since it is a free event, we thought she would enjoy it. Plus some of her cousins would be there - so we thought we would give it a go. She was on the tail end of a cold, which means she was probably on the front end of an ear infection. It also takes her a bit to get warmed up to brand new situations so the first half of the day, she cried most of the time. But during the Egg Hunt, she finally warmed up and started having some fun! Here are a few pictures of the day.
| Of course she was afraid of the Easter Bunny - it was the first thing we did - she wasn't warmed up yet! |
| Daddy tried to help out - at least she's not crying! |
| This was the best we could do for a picture with the basket. |
| First unhappy picture |
| Even more unhappy! :) |
| Figuring out the lay of the land with the hunt. |
| I tried handing her eggs to put in the basket... |
| but she was more interested in taking things out! |
| By the end of the day, she got the hang of it and learned to put them in the basket. |
| Happy girl - finally! |
| Her sweet cousins just laid eggs on the ground for her at the end and she just sat there and put them in. |
