Sweet Monkey is 5 years old. I can hardly believe it! 5 years ago this beautiful gift changed our lives completely. God answered our many years of prayers with this little life and has continued to bless our lives ever since. She is kind, inquisitive, creative, loves to sing, and loves to dance. She loves to color, paint, draw - anything to do with art. She LOVES to be read to and has loved learning to read this year. She will sit for hours and listen to me read or listen to an audio book. She is shy in new situations, yet she loves to make new friends. We are so thankful for her.
Her birthday fell on a Saturday this year and she had her very first friend party this year! She had a soccer game on Saturday morning, so we had to get up early and eat breakfast. She got to have a peanut butter waffle with chocolate chips and she got to open her presents before we headed out for her game.

I LOVE that she gets so excited about opening new books!

Apparently the Super Hero Costume was also a hit!

She played a great soccer game on Saturday morning and even scored 4 goals! Later that afternoon we headed over to our local rec center for her Princess Ballet dance party. Monkey wanted to be Jasmine and Lil Bit wanted to be Tinkerbell. Once all the guests arrived we headed in to the dance studio with Miss Roxanne. The parents got to go in for the 10 minutes of the party and take some pictures. They did so many fun things and at the end they got to dance around with bean bags and do a dance to the Little Mermaid. They had to do fun moves whenever Miss Roxanne called out a character from the movie. After the dance party we headed to our room to have cupcakes and get princess tatoos! It was a very fun day and Monkey was exhausted by the time we got home!

On Sunday, we had all the family over to celebrate again!! Unfortunately I had my camera on the wrong setting from the party the day before and all of our pictures turned out blurry! I captured 2 pictures that day that weren't too blurry. It was a beautiful day and we got to enjoy dinner and cupcakes on the back patio! Monkey loved seeing her family and loved playing with her cousins!
JuJu snapped a couple of pictures with her phone...

Monkey got Mouse Trap from Doc and Gaga and she conviced her Pop to set it up so she could see how it worked before they left! The girls loved watching it work.
