Our Baby is Growing Up

Lil' Bit is growing before our eyes.  I cannot believe how fast time is moving.  She will be 3 years old next month and that is CRAZY!!  She got a new big girl bed for Christmas and I think Nate and I were more sad about taking the crib down than she was.  We built it up over the course of a month and told her how she would be like sissy and have a new big girl bed and she was so excited when it was finally put together in her room.  She laid down that first night and has loved sleeping in it.  She plays A LOT more than she did in her crib and it takes her forever to fall asleep, but she is staying in it and sleeping well so that is awesome!  Here are few pictures from the transition.

Another HUGE transition is that we got rid of her baba (pacifier).  That one hit me really hard.  She very well could be our last baby and that was kind of the last baby thing to hold on to.  I almost didn't want to make her give it up, but we needed to.  So we decided last Thursday after her nap that we would mail all her baba's to the Doc McStuffins Toy Hospital.  She was so excited to send them to those babies.  After that, we took her to the local toy shop and let her pick out a new "stuffy" to sleep with that would make the first night a little easier.  She did GREAT, and has for the most part been doing great.  She actually misses it more at her naps than she does bedtime.  In fact she cried this week during one of her naps, but a little silliness and she moves along and eventually goes to sleep.
